The Western Oklahoma Skykings proudly welcome Evgeny Sedykh as our new Head Coach. With an extensive background in professional basketball, Sedykh brings a wealth of experience and a championship pedigree to the team.

For nine years, he was an integral part of the CSKA Moscow basketball program, contributing to two EuroLeague titles and eight Russian national championships. As a video and scouting coach, he worked alongside some of the most respected names in basketball, including Ettore Messina, Quin Snyder, and Dimitris Itoudis.

​

His coaching journey includes roles as an assistant coach for CSKA-2 and CSKA-Junior, where he worked closely with player development. He has also coached at the international level, serving as an assistant coach for Mexico’s U17 national team and head coach in Azerbaijan’s major league. Most recently, he led Jalilabad as head coach and played a key role in Iguanas Verdes Cancun’s and Barracudas Cancun’s success, winning a Quintana Roo state championship.

Sedykh is known for his strong leadership, ability to connect with players, and attention to detail in player development. His philosophy centers on creating a positive and psychologically strong team environment, ensuring that players are both mentally and physically prepared to perform at the highest level.
